What´s on TV these days?

Ecuador, as the rest of the world´s today, is living "la vida loca" because of the soccer world cup, which is taking place in a wonderland named Russia. However, no matter how far that event is taking place, people around the world is fascinating about watching the football world cup on tv. This means, that for a short time people´s troubles are standing behind the tv-set.

Just for today, people in my country watched how the colombia´s soccer team was having a heavy task to win to the England´s soccer team in the afternoon football match. Everyone and more were eating the fingers nails, such a expression of fear and stress. At last, the final punctuation by penalties shooted side by side over the goal-keepers, put England as the winner.

No matter what we are doing, but the world is having fun these day, isn`t it?

A tragedy with names..

A tragedy with names..Manabi and Esmeraldas Earthquake
April 16th  of  2016 (Day eight)

Quito.- Last April 16th at 18:45 the Earth tumbled down all over my country. It was the time in which the Ecuadorians used to be having dinner or sharing in family. I personally found cleaning up the stairs at my Daddy`s Home. When I surprisingly saw how the yard and backyard was moving increasingly and it last about 45 seconds. I found myself pretty shocked as never ever I ´ve found.
Immediately, lights went out and some people who were walking up the street I live were having some joke among them and according the situation. Suddenly  it happened. Other neighbors near my house were screaming. The Earth was moving very hard for seconds. So nobody knew what to do.

My sister and Dad got out the house nowhere to go.
It was the time I call them up “hey guys.. come. This is a safe place to stay.”
It was a kind terrace where some guys and neighbors were gathering for seconds too. Meanwhile we were together, I mean, Dad my two nephews and my sister, a couple of electric devices crash because of the hard quake.

The phenomena, was very hard in Quito. So some buildings and houses in the Old Town were damaged but not as serious as in cities were the quake impact destroyed and killed more than 500 people in just seconds. I Mean two important provinces in Ecuador: Manabi and Esmeraldas.

The Earthquake target was exactly in Pedernales, a small town at the Manabi`s beach. The destruction was terrible and some scientist think that it was harder than the Ambato’s Quake in 1949.
The Ecuadorians really know how dangerous is the country but, something that I´m impressed is to know that even though we have been practicing and simulating situations like these, it’ll never be the same as living the real situation.
Think, in just second you will never know what to do, you will never know what is the best practice in this case and remember, you have no time to lose.

Besides, Ecuadorians live as quite sure without preventing for instance, a first aids box, prepare the safe room to stay at home and thongs like these. The lack of a preventive culture was the real difference between survive or dead.
